Career

Working with Dolphins or Whales

Welcome

It's the dream of almost every whale and dolphin-lover, young or old - encountering these marvelous creatures on a regular basis, researching to find out as much as we can about them...and getting paid for it!

Unfortunately, the popularity of cetaceans (i.e. whales and dolphins) is such that competition for any position involving work or research with these them is extremely fierce. But there is a quote that says, "Don't let your fears stand in the way of your dreams" - so if you want something bad enough, work hard and you will get it!

At any rate, the entire field of marine science holds a great deal of interest for anyone with a fascination for whales and dolphins. There are plenty of different careers available involving the oceans - marine biologist, oceanographer, and trainer being just three, although not all posts in these fields involved cetaceans - and if you want to find out more about how to get there, then click below
