slender flppers; pale gray sides; white or pink underside; thin, dark stripe
running from underside of tail stock to eye; narrow, pale gray stock; bluish
gray or brownish upper side; dark, strongly falcate dorsal fin, pale gray
finger-shaped marking below dorsal fin; thin dark streak behind eye, black
patch around each eye; slender head; smoothly sloped forehead; distinct
crease separating forehead and beak; dark, prominent beak; and 1 or 2 dark
bands between eye and flipper

warm temperature,
subtropical, and tropical waters around the world, offshore (sometimes
inshore)
